Anyone over 18 is welcome to use the NE Seattle Tool Library, whether you live in NE Seattle or anywhere else in the region. Members are required to fill out our membership application and liability waiver as well as present a government-issued photo ID to Tool Library staff. Most memberships are good for 12 months and can be renewed at any time.

Sign-Up for a Membership
It’s easy to sign-up.
1. Create an account at home.
2. Fill out our Membership Application (PDF) sign and print out the Membership Form and Waiver (if you can.) We’ve got copies on site if you don’t have a printer.
2. Come into the Tool Library during open hours to complete or submit your 2-page Membership Form, Waiver and bring a government-issued photo ID. A volunteer at the front desk can then process your membership for you.
3. Make a donation if you are able. Though the Tool Library is free to use and donations are completely voluntary, they are also a crucial part of keeping the inventory maintained and the Tool Library running smoothly. This community resource thrives on the generosity of its users.
We recommend the following levels:
- Lifetime: $500
- Sustaining: $200
- Regular: $50
- Student: $35
- Senior: $35
- Other: $__
We accept cash, check, credit card, Google Pay and Venmo at the library. You may also make payments on-site/online via Paypal by clicking the “donate” button on the bottom right side of our website.
No proof of income is required and no qualified applicants will be turned away due to lack funds. All memberships except “Lifetime” are annual.
