Hand Sewing Repair Basics
Learn how to make the three most commonly-needed, hand sewn repairs: button replacement, patches, and seam repair. We’ll cover several stitches and when to use them, as well as a bunch of tips for smooth sewing.
Basic Darning
Learn to fix the holes in your textiles from the threads up with darning. In this class, we’ll cover two simple darning techniques that will allow you to repair a range of items.

Sketchup Open Hours
Work on your own Sketchp desgin under the guidance of a professional. Required – Intro to Sketchup or previous experience as well as a computer and a mouse (scrolling wheel on mouse strongly recommended).

Gardening Tool Tune-up
Did you just find last years pruners under the snow? Whether you did or they were hanging where you left them, bring them to this class to clean and sharpen for a new year of gardening. We’ll work on pruners, loppers, hedge clippers, shovels, hoes and axes. We will supply files and sharpening stones but you are welcome to bring the ones you like to use. Some gloves would be good to have as well.

Intro to Sketchup
Learn the basics of Sketchp – a free, online ‘CAD’ program- to help plan and visualize your next project. We will sketch a plywood bookshelf, but your skills can be applied to kitchen/bath remodels, room layout, furniture design, and more! Prevent mistakes by planning your cuts, and making an assembly list. No previous CAD or drafting experience required at all. Required – a computer and a mouse (scrolling wheel on mouse strongly recommended).

This three part series is an excellent introduction to all the basic power tools needed to accomplish most wood projects. Get hands on instruction and practice with circular saws, jig saws, reciprocating saws, miter saws, table saws, drill presses, planers, jointers, and maybe a even some bonus tools!

Pressure Washer Tips Held when members check out a washer during open hours @ the Tool Library There is a $10 suggested donation for all loans of this item (funds go to upkeep of the machines)
