Membership

General Membership
Anyone over 18 is welcome to use The NE Seattle Tool Library, whether you live in NE Seattle or anywhere else in the region.  Members are just required to fill out a membership application and a liability waiver as well as present a government-issued photo ID to Tool Library staff.
To make activating your account quick and easy, please take a moment to read the tool use policy and bring a completed membership application with you to The Tool Library:

Tool Use Policy (PDF)
Membership Application Form (PDF)

(You need Adobe Acrobat to open these files. If you have trouble printing the above documents in your web browser, try downloading them to your drive. To save the PDFs to your computer, right-click, “Save as…”  Then open the documents in Adobe Acrobat, and use File / Print.)

As you complete the activation of your account, you’ll be asked if you’d like to make a donation to The Tool Library.  Though The Tool Library is FREE to use and these donations are completely voluntarily, they are also a crucial part of keeping the collection well maintained and The Tool Library running smoothly. This community resource thrives on the generosity of its users. If you can give a donation, we recommend the following levels:

  • Charter Member: $250
  • Sustaining: $100
  • General Public: $40
  • Student/Senior: $3o
  • Other: $____

No proof of income or age is required and no qualified applicants will be turned away due to lack of ability to make a recommended donation, as The NE Seattle Tool Library is free to use.

As soon as we receive your completed Membership Application Form acknowledging your acceptance of the Terms of Use and your optional membership donation, you will become a full Member of the Tool Library. Memberships expire every year.

Whether you intend to become an active member or you simply want to keep informed about Tool Library activities, we encourage you to create an account on the Library website if you haven’t already done so. This will put you on our mailing list. If and when you become an active member, you can use that same account to check your member status and to see if a tool is available or checked out to another member.

Create account (Note: your ‘username’ must not contain spaces. So, ‘JohnnyB’, ‘JohnBGood’, or ‘butterfly1257′ are all acceptable.)

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at: neseattletoollibrary@gmail.com.

We hope to see you soon!
